Installing Apache and PHP
-------------------------

>> Installing Apache

sudo apt-get install apache2 -y

> Open a browser and go to the following url to test out the web server

http://localhost
OR
http://your_ip_address e.g. http://10.0.0.106

You should see the Apache default page

> Default directory /var/www/html and the default page served up is /var/www/html/index.html


>> Installing PHP

sudo apt-get install php libapache2-mod-php -y


> Restart Apache

sudo apachectl restart

> Testing out the php install
> Create the php info page
sudo leafpad /var/www/html/info.php

> Type the following in the info.php file and save it and close it after

<?php phpinfo(); ?>

> Open a browser and go to the following url

http://localhost/info.php
OR
http://your_ip_address/info.php e.g. http://10.0.0.106/info.php

You should see the PHP info page
