Working with Cameras

> Installing motion to make a WebCam Server

sudo apt-get install motion

Type lsusb
This will show you if the webcam is connected

> Edit the motion.conf file

sudo nano /etc/motion/motion.conf

Change daemon = off to daemon = on

Change stream_localhost = on to stream_localhost = off

Change webcontrol_localhost off

> Edit the motion file

sudo nano /etc/default/motion

Change start_motion_daemon=no to yes

> Start/Stop the service

sudo service motion start

sudo service motion stop

> Open a broswer and go to http://ipaddress:8081
